We devised a weekly feed from the prescription database and designed and built a database to centralise the process. There were huge cost savings not least from the postage discount that higher volumes attracted. Unexpected benefits of the database included a platform to test and optimise the timing and content of the reminder programme and a forecast model to identify stores that were going to underperform in one or two years time.[/box]
